Keep doing what you’ve been doing and you’ll keep getting what you’re getting. Heard that before.
Well, it’s wrong.
If you keep doing what you’ve been doing, you’ll get less and less and less.
As competition increases along with the costs of doing business, old systems have to be revamped to keep pace with the change. As our culture evolves and demographics change, so must you.
I know, it’s frustrating. There’s tremendous momentum NOT to do anything. Go ahead, stick your head back in the sand and see where that het’s you. To the poorhouse. That’s where you’ll go. Or, you’ll just have to settle and be someone else’s employee by selling out to a corporate entity that will take the “business” part of Dentistry off your shoulders.
If you can’t live with change, you’re not going to be happy in dentistry any longer. Not only is change a constant, the rate of change is increasing exponentially. Don’t believe me? Read John Bernard’s book; “Business at the speed of NOW.”
