I was in Vegas this week and experienced firsthand the mayhem of Super Bowl preparation. Streets were closed, construction was everywhere as the city was prepared to be even more electrified than usual. And that says a lot if you know Vegas!
I even experienced another traffic-snarling event…The President.
Over 110,000,000 people, nearly 1/3 of Americans, will tune in this Sunday to watch the Super Bowl. Advertisers will spend upwards of $7,000,000 for a 30 second opportunity to access their eyeballs and ears. How will they use this opportunity? How will the “Swifty Effect” impact viewership and commercial content? And, most important of all, what can YOU, a dental practice owner, learn from it?
While not a football fan, I love watching the commercials. They tell so much about consumer and even social trends in our nation. And while national, there are many things a dental practice can learn. That’s why after every Superbowl I write a summation of my dental practice-relevant take-aways from the commercials.
Here are a few things I’ll be looking for.
So, get your Doritos, M&M’s, Mountain Dew, Domino’s pizzaor Subway sandwiches ready and sit back for a lesson in marketing. The big game of “Life In America” is about to begin.
Let’s meet again next week to review.
P.S. Remember, some of the commercials are local. So, I might not see all the ones you do. And the local commercials are even more important to you because they seek to speak directly to your market.
